Cable category used in the network

Is possible to know from a switch the category of the cable that is connected to feed a computer, Access point etc. ?

No, not really. You have to look at the physical cable. The port does not tell you if for example the cable is cat5, 6, 6a, etc...

Its possible to use the command
test cable diagnostics
although i believe that only shows each individual cable distance so mileage may vary, also it doesnt work on the nexus platform.
