Can I use Two Sup32 Engine with 11 uplinks?

Hi Everyone,

Currently, I'm trying to setup the C6509-E with TWO sup32 engine(WS-SUP32-GE-3B with 8 GE). We have total 11 Catalyst 3560 will converge to this 6509 core switch.

My questions is:

• After I use all (8) SPF ports from active supervisor engine, can I use the rest of edge switches to the standby supervisor engine's SFP ports?
• And is there any effect to the switch function?

This is my very first to touch with this core switch and please don't mind if I say something wrong. Thanks everyone.

Yes you can but the Sup32 isn't designed as a Core switch. Sup720 is more appropriate as a core switch.
