Re: can not ssh to 2960X switches, session timed out after some time

Hello Cisco Team,

We have 2960X switches in our company. there are 7-8 switches have issue with ssh. currently we can not ssh to those switches , however there is no other issue on that switch, i can ping and functionality is all good. if I will reboot that switch , I can access it right after that , however after sometime session time out , and then we have to reboot again to have access on the switch.

any suggestion to where to start for troubleshooting . I really do not thing its firmware/ios issue

Can you post the config of the switches - have you tried regenerating the rsa key?

crypto key zerosize
crypto key generate rsa general-keys label NEWKEY modulus xxx

Maybe the IOS doesn't support crypto.

Maybe one test could be enable the telnet administration just for testing purposes and see if the same behavior occurs. If it happens, try checking if any loops are occurring.
