Can't make Cisco work with my Nortel switch

I have a Nortel Route Switch 8661 and trying to connect to a Catalyst 3750 24 Gig ports.

Have tryied several of the 24 RJ-45 ports and the link doesn't come up.

If I connect a PC to the 3750 then it works. I'm trying to establish a 100Mb link between these two.

Have someone seen this before. Thanks?

3750 does MDIX so you can use straight-thru cables when connecting to switches together but there is one requirement:

The speed/duplex on the port should be left auto/auto because if you hardcode to a fix speed then MDIX might mis-behave.

Not sure what your settings are on the Cisco switch?

Pc to switch straight through cable

Try using a cross over cable for switch to switch and let us know.

Thanks, only have straight cable but this switch says it adapts so I don't worry about the cable. I don't think this is the problem.

Did you hard code the switch to 100/FULL? MDIX will not work with hard coding the interface, you have to leave it at AUTO/AUTO.
