can we enable igmp join group for cgmp enabled switches?
I have router enabled with cgmp on interface but switches commad enabling only igmp group <multicast address>...will this work..i am not getting multicast traffic on LAN segment.

No - if the switch does not support IGMP and only CGMP you cannot configure it to joing a group using IGMP.
If you are having issued - you need to confirm that the router is able to forward multicast traffic to you LAN, confirm the interface is in it OIL. You also need a host that wants the traffic?

HI,
The switch support IGMP and CGMP. It's already configure igmp join group in the switch but on the router it's configured CGMP. Wants to know how to check OIL in the interface? We have receiving host in the LAN.

show ip pim interface - PIM should be enabled on the router interface facing the LAN.
show ip mroute - if the host/switch has passed the IGMP join onto the router, there should be a (*,G) entry with and Outgoing Interface List that contains the LAN interface.
