I am quite confused and upon reading through the different sources it looks like WS-C3850-48XS-S do not support stackwise-480 and physical stacking is not possible with this model but virtual stack can be formed.
Please correct me If I am wrong and also, I am looking to form a stack of 4 switches with 2x WS-C3850-48XS-S and WS-C3850-24S-S each, kindly advise if this is possible.
