cannot boot switch cisco 2960X, reboot loop

Dear everyone!,

My switch is 2960X cannot start after I config wrong and loop reboot everytime. I was download new IOS: c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-2.E6.bin but nothing change. Everyone help me pls!

Contact Cisco TAC.  The switch is dead.

hi,

before RMA with TAC, could you try:

switch: flash_init
switch: boot flash:c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-2.E6.bin

or revert to old IOS

switch: boot flash:c2960x-universalk9-mz.150-2.EX5

Did you try booting off USB Flash

  • Format your USB flash drive with a FAT file system. ...
  • Copy the system IOS image to the USB flash drive.
  • While the Switch is powered off, plug in the USB flash drive to the USB port on the router.
  • Power on the Switch and when it starts to boot up press the Break key to enter ROMMON mode

Otherwise you can contact TAC support and replace the product
