Hello everyone,
I try to download cisco ASA image to pc using TFTP but unable to download and shows error message.
Error message:

Source filename []? asa922-4-smp-k8.bin

Address or name of remote host []? 192.168.30.88

Destination filename [asa922-4-smp-k8.bin]?

Writing file tftp://192.168.30.88/asa922-4-smp-k8.bin...
!
%Error writing tftp://192.168.30.88/asa922-4-smp-k8.bin (Access violation)

For tftp config u can see the attached image. I believe this could be a bug or privilege issue. Can someone help me on this?
And one more thing, after setup the tftp and restart it, the tftp go back to default config. anything can do to avoid this?

Yes i'd check this forum yesterday but that one is for uploading the image to cisco asa.

between i manage to find the solution and its actually the privilege matter. Account with privilege 15 can download the image.

But, there is one more problem. While copying the image from asa to pc the process stuck at one point. and when i click enter it shows error again. But image is in folder. I want to know if the image is still usable?

if its half downloaded then no don't use it its corrupted , but you can verify any image after install or when on your desktop by running an md5 check against the image from where you downloaded it on cisco website

same for asa as router and you can also use win checker from pc same thing , it will match the md5 values from whats on suite and whats been downloaded

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/about/security-center/ios-image-verification.html

http://www.winmd5.com/

Make sure you enough space in flash or disk# also check to see if you are hitting CSCek26572.

I hope this helps and good luck!
