My network consist of Cisco 4000 switches and two routers. Both routers are connected to the same switch. One router The router with subnet of 255.255.255.0. is connected to 10meg line and works fine. I have a 800 series router configured for subnet 255.255.255.192 but cannot make a connect to from a laptop. I have configured the laptop with the correct IP, subnet mask and default gateway. I disconnect the router from the net work switch and place a 2980 dell betwee the laptop and connect with no problem. It appears to be the cisco 4000 switch. I check the port all looks good. thanks

I do not have access to the routers. I am certain the problem resides with this switch. I can connect the cisco 800 router to cheap dell switch, connect the laptop the the dell switch, and all is well. I can disconnect the patch cable from the dell switch coming from the 800 router, connect to the cisco 4000 switch, connect the laptop to the cisco 4000 switch and cannot connect to the router. Thanks
