Hi All,

I met a problem on a Cat 3850 24X UPOE switch, I have a class 4 PoE PD device with LLDP enabled, it can acquire class 4 25.5W power through LLDP on a port (Te1/0/6), but the same PD device can only acquire class 3 15.4W on another port (Te1/0/2), here are detailed information:

On port Te1/0/6, class 4 PD with LLDP enabled can sucessfully acquire 25.5W:

Hi
so your not getting POE+ on 1 of the ports , that could be a hardware issue especially if same device is working at 25w on other port
these switches should be full POE , is it possible to statistically set it under the interface , power inline max milli-watts xxx , does that make a difference ? if not i would contact TAC as look like the switch is only providing 15.4 for that port

Power available to the device: 15.4

Full IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) with 30W power on all copper ports in 1 Rack Unit (RU) form factor

Thanks for your reply, I tried "power inline static max 60000" but doesn't make a difference, the class 4 PD with LLDP enabled failed LLDP negotiation and acquired class3 15.4W.

what type of phone is it ?
are they non Cisco if using LLDP

Thanks for reply, it's a non Cisco device, but able to acquire class 4 25.5W through LLDP on Cat 3850 ports #1, #3, #11, #12, #18, etc.
