CAT4510R-E issues.

Smart Interlink
Level 1
Level 1

The customer has a cat4510r-e with a 7-E supervisor.

Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500e-UNIVERSAL-M), Version 03.03.00.SG RELEASE .

several questions:
1. what means this message in the show run output:
"
License Information for 'WS-X45-SUP7-E'
License Level: lanbase   Type: Default. No valid license found.
    Next reboot license Level: lanbase
"

2. Why the swith is not showing any event on the console?. The "show log"
now is always empty, if a interface change status (up/down), the console
do not shows this. How can I fix this?.

3. CALL HOME.
I tried to setup CALL HOME on the 4510, but the switch
do not accept the call home related commands.
How can I configure call home on this switch?.
Thanks.

1. what means this message in the show run output:

"

License Information for 'WS-X45-SUP7-E'

License Level: lanbase   Type: Default. No valid license found.

Next reboot license Level: lanbase

Means the switch does not have any additional license and will run the "basic" or default license of LANBase feature set.

2. Why the swith is not showing any event on the console?. The "show log"

Logging, by default, is disabled.  Try the interface-level command "logging event link".  This will enable logging when the interface changes status from down or up.
