Catalyst 2960C > PoE > 7960 phone

Hi!

someone gave me 5 cisco 7960 ip phones with which i'm currently having fun. Sadly i only have one power cube to power them, so i've been looking into PoE. Could someone tell me if the

Catalyst 2960C-12PC-L

switch is retro-compatible with pre-standard PoE, and if i will be able to power my 7960 ip phones with it?

thank you ever so much.

xxxx

sam

Flexible Power Options

The Cisco Unified IP Phone 7960G supports Cisco Prestandard Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing powering from any of the Cisco Inline Power-capable blades and boxes. In addition, it supports IEEE 803.af PoE. The phone can be powered locally with a power supply (part number CP-PWR-CUBE-3).
