I just updated the firmware on our Catalyst 16-port switch (model# WS-C2960L-16TS-LL) using the Web UI to version 15.2(7)E3. The upload and install appeared to be successful. The uploaded file was of type "Universal with Web Based Dev Mgr" (.tar file) instead of type Universal (.bin). Upon reboot, CLI (using the 'show version' command) reports IOS at the expected version. However, the Web UI is no longer accessible. Refresh of the webpage pointing to the IP address of the switch results in a blank page. Looks like the Javascript of the webpage throws an exception (please see the attached log from the Console of the Chrome browser).
Wondering if this is a known issue and whether we uploaded the wrong file (.tar) instead of the .bin version? Is there a temporary rollback - perhaps through the CLI since the web interface is no longer accessible - that will fix the web access? Thanks.
