Hi all!

I've gotten this out of our storage unit here at work:

This was not in use, I've restarted it, I can't get into the flash dir,I've tried to restart the switch via the documents I've gotten on the site.

I have the lastest iOS version .bin for this switch, but I can't get this to load: here below is what happens when I try.

The image for this switch is pretty small (about 6Mb).  If you change it to 115200, it shouldn't take that long to load it.  Remember to change it back to 9600 when transfer is done

How do you do that, I'm trying but set BAUD 9600 isn't working for me

EDIT: Got it! Just was able to do the switch via SecureCRT GUI under Session Options..

STILL NOT SWITCHED BACK OVER YET!! HELP. How do you move it back to 9600?

Try this:

Switch#config t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

Switch(config)#line con 0

Switch(config-line)#speed 9600

Problem Solved! I figured it out myself. I just needed to load that and now my switch seems to be functional. If anyone wants to leave additional output. Please do.

Here is what I did to make it load up from the flash dir being COMPLETELY DELETED! MY ERROR!!!

1.Turned off power while holding MODE button

2.Held down MODE till first ethernet link light turned off then released.

3.Typed flash_init,then load_helper, then set BAUD 115200

4.Disconnected terminal session, then started a new one with baud 115200 on the COM port

5.Go to Switch: prompt

6.Typed copy xmodem: flash:c3500xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC17.bin

6.Chose the matching .bin file from my pc

7.Waited till d/l was finished

8.Typed boot flash:c3500xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC17.bin

9.Typed "n" on configuration settings

Now I'm able to login to my switch. Hope that helps anyone else with this switch!
