Hey guys,
there is a problem with all of my cisco 3850 switches.
I made a manual endless ping at all devices and there are often responses of 2000ms.
the normal value is 2ms.
there is the recommended IOS version installed: 03.06.06E
Did anyone else encounter this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Hi
so when you ping a an ip interface on a switch ICMP is not prioritized at all and the results can vary constantly depending on the switch and whats going on in it currently
A real ICMP test should be performed end to end device to device through the switch not pinging an interface on the switch , pinging ips on the interface will give you varied results as you seen , this can depend on the volume of traffic on the switch, the cpu , whats being processed etc any of these things can cause your results to be off
I don't think you have an issue with your image I would setup an ip sla as a proper test or ping through the device to get more concrete results , pinging the interface is not going to give you correct results

- Make sure the management port is configured in it's own vrf as in :
interface GigabitEthernet0/0
vrf forwarding Mgmt-vrf
ip address ip-address-value netmask-value
Assuming then, that ip-address-value , is the one , you will be ping-ing
