Stop using that command.  The switch is already on 16.X.X and the above command is not just irrelevant but does not provide a complete picture.

And I have a good indication what is the cause of the high memory:  keyman

Post the complete output to the following commands:

  1. sh platform software status control-processor brief
  2. sh processes memory platform sorted location switch active r0
  3. sh processes memory platform sorted location switch standby r0

NOTE:  For #2 and #3, please provide the output of the "first page".  I do not see the complete output.

That is way too high already.  The "average" (keyman proces) is 10k (or <15k).

If my suspicion is correct then I know, exactly, what is causing the keyman process to go "mental" and I know an effective workaround that does not require a reload or a firmware upgrade.

Hi @Leo Laohoo ,

Thank you for your response.

Please see the attached.

Thank you,

This stack has encountered two (2) bugs:

  1. Memory leak is due to the WCM process (wireless controller module) and this is a well-known bug, CSCvo28206.
  2. Read this:  FN - 72323 - Cisco IOS XE Software: QuoVadis Root CA 2 Decommission Might Affect Smart Licensing, Smart Call Home, and Other Functionality

@Leo Laohoo

According to bug, CSCvo28206.

There is no workaround and also no fixed releases.

What should we do on our case?

Thank you,

Upgrade to 16.3.11 and apply the QuoVadis workaround.

@Leo Laohoo

Thank you for your support.
