Hello !

I have a Catalyst 6506 , Following Configuration as bellow :

Slot 1 : WS-X6724-SFP </w WS-F6700-DFC3A>

Slot 2 : WS-X6148A-GE-TX

Slot 5 : WS-SUP720-3B

Single/Redundant WS-CAC-3000W

According Cisco Power Calculator Results , The Total Output Power is 987.84 Watts , Total Typical Output Power is 790.27 Watts .

If i connect the 6506 with 220V in 10KW UPS , the Maximum Amps is ? ,

It usually using the maximum Amps ?

another question , what is the " Output Current(@42V) " means ?

When using the Cisco power calculator always remember  that anytime you see the word "out" as in output power or output current, etc, it means that it was is being supplied to the line cards by the chassis' power supplies. So when you see output current @42V, regardless of what you're pulling into the power supplies (input volts), the power supplies send 42 volts to the given line card.

The other thing to keep in mind is Watts = Volts x Amps AND the power supplies are about 85% efficient (according to cisco).

So taking your total output power of 988 watts: 988 / .85 = ~1163 watts / 220v = ~5.3 Amps

Having said all that, I'll add the same discaimer that Cisco puts on their power calculator; those are figures for planning, you should run them by your Cisco provider for solid figures ><
