Catalyst 6504-E Errors

Recently got a 6504-E. I am running into these errors below. I've done some digging where it seems to be the cards aren't supported by the VS-SUP2T-10G that is install. Little lost on which cards I should buy, or switch out the supervisor card. Wanted to get netflow working and I knew the sup2t supports it. Do any of the other sup cards support it that I don't need to buy a bunch of new cards.

If I remember correctly, the sup2T, in a 65xx-E chassis, requires 67xx or 68xx line cards (which is why the 65xx line card isn't supported).

For the 67xx line cards, either the line card must be w/o a DFC or it needs to be a DFC4.  The 6708 cards, I also recall, were the only 67xx line cards that came with a DFC standard, but it is also not swappable/upgradable (i.e. recall they use the DFC3).

So, as @Leo Laohoo notes, you might downgrade your sup to a 720, the VSS variant (or 720c) being the "best", or use different, supported, line cards.

Line cards in slots 2, 3 and 4 are supported with Sup720.

You will not be able to "buy new cards" because line cards supported by Sup720 are long end-of-support.  Most likely the cards are "refurbished".

6500/6807/6880 ... now these are platforms worth their weight in gold.  And lots of it.

Built like a tank + THE most stable, if the the best, IOS code that Cisco developers should be proud of.

A relic of the past.  Catalyst 6k are platforms where network veterans "brag" about "the one that got away":  Catalyst 6k platform with years (if not decades) of uptime without a crash or reboot.

Those were the days, @Joseph W. Doherty.  Those were the days.

Got the 720 card ,  WS-SUP720-3B. What is the latest IOS that I can run on it?

Cisco IOS Software, s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-ADVENTERPRISEK9_WAN-M), Version 12.2(33)SXI6, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc4)

System image file is "disk0:s72033-adventerprisek9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI6.bin"

is what is currently on it

Find whatever is the latest of the SXI or SXJ train.   These two trains are considered THE MOST STABLE IOS trains and are second-to-none.

Look for versions marked "Safe Harbor".

Safe Harbor is the pinnacle in Quality Assurance.  Cisco Safe Harbor is lightyears ahead of all "gold star" releases combined and any 6k chassis running Safe Harbor release is guaranteed stability.
