Catalyst 6513 - redundant SuperVisor was not synced after insertion

Hello everybody,

the SuperVisor engine in slot 1 of a Catalyst 6513 needed to be replaced because a

hardware defect. The SuperVisor engine in slot 2 is active and running CatOS 8.5. The new

SuperVisor engine for slot 1 came with CatOS 6.3 and was not syncronized auromatically

after insertion. When the customer enter the command "Show boot" he get the output:

AG-A6513-51> (enable) sh boot

Configuration register is 0x2102

ignore-config: disabled

auto-config: non-recurring, overwrite, sync disabled

ROMMON console baud: 9600

boot: image specified by the boot system commands

Image auto sync is disabled <--- !!!

Image auto sync timer is 120 seconds

I don't find a command to enable 'Image auto sync' or a command to initiate the

syncronization manually.

Can some help?

for supervisor redundancy to work both supervisor modules must be the same hardware version and also running the same software version.

If you have a software mismatch you will need to upgrade your new supervisor to match the same level of the existing supervisor.
