Hi all,
I've got the following problem and can't find a precise answer anywhere.
Need to build a 4 device stack with 2x 9300-48UXM, 1x 9300-48UN and 1x 9300-24UXB. The 48 Port devices work like a charm and are stacked as switch member 1-3. Stack member 4 is the 9300-24UXB, which shows a platform missmatch.
Now I find statements that all 9300's should work, only 9300L's are working differntly due to another Stackwise port implementation. On the other hand there is this thread, stating that 9300-24UXB wont work with "normal" 9300's. https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/cisco-9300-stack-plat-mismatch/td-p/4454825
Can anyone clarify this one for me? Is it really not possible, or is there any trick? Like letting the C9300-24UXB be the master and build the stack from there on?

Hi,
It appears that UXB can only be stacked with other UXB switches and not UXM or UXN.
The following are restrictions for your switch stack configuration:
Only homogenous stacking is supported, that is, a stack of Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches stack with only Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches as stack members.
Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series Switches stack with only Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series Switches as stack members.
C9300-24UB, C9300-24UXB, and C9300-48UB switches can only be stacked with each other.
