Cisco 9300 stack Plat-Mismatch

Haven't found a working solution for our stacking issue, so here are the details:

- We have two C9300-24UBX (H/W V01), and one C9300-24T (H/W V04)

- All running the same IOS:  CAT9K_IOSXE v17.03.03

- All in the same Mode: Install

- Licenses match across all three.

Switching,

The two C9300-24UBX will stack with each other, but when adding the C9300-24T to the stack, the 24UBX show as Plat-mismatch when you run' show switch detail' .

Sorry cant post any configs,

What commands can I run to flush out the Plat-Mismatch?

From a Cisco contact...

"One of the restrictions is that the higher scale switches (C9300-24UB, C9300-24UXB and C9300-48UXB) do not stack with the standard Catalyst9300/9300X switches."

Their datasheet doesn't do a good job of drawing a line as for which models are Lower Scale and Higher scale, as the all have the same chaise.

Datasheet:  (That needs improvement)

 - I would presume that the message means that the particular platform-types can not be mixed in a stack.

Hi,

Looking at the datasheet, it appears that you can't stack UXB with none-UXB switches. From the datasheet:

Mixed stacking between 9300/9300X and 9300 higher/increased scale platforms is not supported. You cannot stack fixed uplink models (C9300L SKUs) with modular uplink models (C9300 SKUs) or other Catalyst switches, e.g. Cisco Catalyst 3850 and 3650 Series. Any combination of C9300 models can form a stack. Separately, any combination of C9300L models can form a stack.

Catalyst 9300 higher scale SKUs (C9300-24UB, C9300-24UXB, C9300-48UB) need to be stacked with other higher scale models.

HTH

It is a C9300-24T not C9300L-24T-4G.  There is no L in it's reported model or on the sticker showing system model. So It should Stack.
