Hello Community,

when attempting to enable the guestshell as indicated here:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/prog/configuration/1610/b_1610_programmability_cg/guest_shell.html

i receive the following error:

#guestshell enable
Interface will be selected if configured in app-hosting
Please wait for completion
% Error: No interface configuration for guestshell

Question: is there a way to access the guestshell on catalyst 9300?

thanks.

Regan

You need to enable Guest shell with Interface. ( once that is enabled then you can access as usal ssh)

Example:

Device# guestshell enable VirtualPortGroup 0 guest-ip 192.168.35.2
gateway 192.168.35.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 name-server 10.1.1.1
