Catalyst 9300 cannot copy file from usb. usbflash0: not found.

Running version 17.07.01 & looking to update it. I've formatted the USB to FAT32 & copied the new IOS version to it as a .bin file. When I insert the USB to the 9300 switch, the switch doesn't seem to see it.

Thoughts?

You could try FAT16, i saw some other posts which said this was ok. Hope you have not hit this https://bst.cisco.com/quickview/bug/CSCvk49306 - i cannot see your version on here tho...

@Mogwai you have a typo and are missing the b, in usb. Try running show file system, you should see the usb then.

Sorry, I had typed the command properly, the first few times, but figures when I went to recreate it for the case I typo'd it. That being said the USB is still not being recognized.

I'll try FAT16 & see what happens, I did see that bug, but the current version on the switch is 17.07.01, which that bug shouldn't be affecting, but after seeing that report i did reboot the switch just to see and the USB still didn't show.

FAT16 worked.  Thanks

Awesome! Lucky guess
