Catalyst 9500 switching capacity

Hello dears,

The swtiching capacity of Catalyst 9500 switch series is a full-duplex capacity?

Because, on the datasheet shows the information "up to 480 Gbps" to C9500-40X.

But the value 40 x 10G + 2 x 40G = 480Gbps, considerando Full duplex, the value is 480Gbps x 2 = 960Gbps. The understanding is correct?

Thank you!

No, it would mean total switching capacity, as limited by backplane. It makes sense because, 480Gbps traffic isn't going to originate from the switch, ingress on one port is going to be egress on another port. When you multiply by 2, you're counting twice.
