I just purchased a 520 to add to my basic small business network mainly for the PoE. I have a router at 192.186.1.1 then I want my switch. I'm trying to setup the switch following the instructions included. I get to the Static IP...what should I put there?
Or is it even necessary to go through this setup, can I just plug my switch in to the router then plug my components into the switch?

If you only need it as switch, you can plug the devices. It all depends what you need to configure on it.
Here is the start guide:

I do only need it as a switch. But when I plug in to the network and plug a computer to it, the express setup comes up. It won't let me past without entering an IP address. If I can't give it an ip of 192.168.1.30 I don't know what to give it.
