Catos 4003 local username creation

Hi,

We want to create localuser to the catos 4003 switch but no success. does Catos switch support it or not? we also didn't find any commands such as "set localuser" in the command list. Is it because of switch version ?? attached is the version of the switch.

software is out of support years so you wont be able to check the configuration guides to confirm there removed from the website

Did you try this
set localuser authentication {enable | disable}
set localuser user username [password pwd] [privilege privilege_level]
set localuser password [user username]

all the mentioned commands don't work. after set ,"set localuser" command is not present in command list.

what options does it provide you when you use the question mark ?
Could be the software , hard to say without the docs on the version, its 10 years out of support now , might have trouble finding other software for it

can you go onto config mode and check again if the SET command is there ?
or enable mode , are the ? options different then ?

Hi Mark,

According to this post, local username config is only possible from Catos version 7.5.1 whereas we are having version 6.3.5. Kindly go through this link and then "step-C" in the post . kindly reply if i understood this right.
