CatOS or IOS

Should one look at upgrade to IOS if they are on CatOS or is CatOS still a standard ?

I suggest moving to IOS as soon as you can.

Thanks - is the Cisco 6006 SUP1A with MSFC 1 and PFC compatible with IOS platform ?

No, it's not compatible with Native IOS. It can run Hybrid, but not Native. You need SupII or later.

Is there a difference on the 6500 and 6006 units ?

Sorry, I was mistaken. Based on the documentation, it seems you can:

I checked the download section for MSFC1 and it seems you are stuck with the old 12.1(E) code.
