CDP duplex mismatch with netflow NDE interface

Hello

I've configured a layer 2 multichassis etherchannel between a VSS 6880 pair (c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.152-1.SY1a.bin) and a stack of WS-C3650-48PD (03.07.03E)

Etherchannel is up and working fine but I'm getting the following syslogs on the stack

*Jul  5 10:53:13.899: %CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on TenGigabitEthernet1/1/3 (not half duplex), with <6880-NAME> NDE_0 (half duplex)

The 6880s are configured for netflow data export with the flow exporter source being a loopback on the 6880s

A show cdp neighbors output on the stack shows an additional entry for the 6880 NDE_0 port

Device ID        Local Intrfce     Holdtme    Capability  Platform  Port ID
6880             Ten 1/1/3         170             R S I  C6880-X-L NDE_0

I can't find the NDE_0 interface on the 6880s - is the above syslog message aesthitic?

Thanks
Andy

I disabled v2 cdp advertisements on the stacks with "no cdp advertise-v2" so I no longer get duplex mismatch syslogs for the NDE cdp neighbour.

Cheers

Andy

Did you ever get an answer on this? It sounds like disabling the v2 advertisements is a workaround for a cosmetic bug. I am having the same issue between a 6880 and 6807 with NetFlow configured.

Hi. No, I don't get a fix for this. I had to re-enable cup v2 as I had phones connected.

andy

i have the error alos, did some digging and my cdp neighbor show the nde_0 interface as an ipv6 interface but we dont use ipv6 in our network, the other switch doesnt have any ipv6 interfaces. wonder how this interfacece was created as i didnt do it?

so my cdp neighbor shows the nde_0 interface as half duplex with and ipv6 address and the same switch as a 2nd entry with an ipv4 address both coming from the same local interface
