CDP neighbour issue

Dear Team,

We have connected ASR 1004 to Catalyst 6500 switch.

The interface connected to ASR is coming up and ASR is seen in CDP neighbor of switch but we are unable to ping the ASR.

In ASR we were unable to even  see Catalyst 6500 in CDP neighbor details. Kindly do advise on this.

We are using 10Gig SFP module on both sides.

You have given us a description of the problem but not much information to work with. You say that the ASR does not see the Catalyst as a CDP neighbor. But we can not be sure if CDP is actually running on that interface. And we are not sure what is the state of the interface on the ASR. Perhaps if we have some additional information we might be able to identify the issue. Can you post the output of these commands on the ASR:

show cdp interface

show interface <ASR_interface>

show arp

CDP has been enabled in the interface and everything is fine in interface level.

We are using XENPAK-10GB-SR+ in 6500 side and XFP-10G-MM-SR in ASR 1004.

Whether there is any compatibility issues between these connectors?
