Hi all,
We have a couple of Nexus 5000 in a cluster in our data center, and we need to change the MTU to one interface to 9000.
I did some research and found this:
It shows that the change has to be made globally.
Is there no way to make this only on one interface? In case this isn't possible, will changing the global MTU value affect all the other interfaces currently working? Will we suffer some downtime? Keep in mind that the two devices are in cluster and the confguration has to match between the two.
Thank you for your time,
Best regards,
Tadeo

Hi,
The MTU change for the 5ks is global. You maybe able to create a policy-map and apply it to an SVI interface if that one physical interface you need is in a vlan. If this works and you have other physical ports in that vlan the policy-map applies to all physical interfaces in that vlan.
