Will changing the etherchannel load balancing from src/dst/port to src/dst/mac disrupt traffic? This is on a 6500 with Sup 2T and 15.1 IOS. I noticed that I have one port of a 4 port etherchannel that has almost twice as much traffic as the other 3 and wanted to see if changing the formula would even things out.
Thanks.

Cannot say for sure, but from experience, if there's any disruption, it's not noticeable. I.e. it might disrupt some packets in the hardware interface queue or very briefly delay some packets.

Thanks Joseph, that seems to agree with what I've found so far.
