Channel-group mode on question

Hello,

I try to play around with Packet Tracer and channel-groups.

I added 2 c2960 switch and both gi Ports are channel group mode on.

When I shutdown gi0/1 I could still ping the other switch. But when I add no shutdown, I could see, that both connection got a orange circle and I got some ping timeouts. Depends this on the choosen channel group mode?

I put both running-config files as packet Tracer export files here:

i am not a user of packet tracer, sometimes these virtual environments may not get what you see in the physical as kit as results.

but i see some inconsistency in config switch 1 and 2 below :

interface Port-channel1
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,20
switchport mode trunk

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Hello,

it doesn't matter whether you use PAgP (mode on) or LACP (mode active), once you 'no shut' a member interface, the entire port channel needs to reconverge and hence will go down for several seconds.
