I am experiencing high  cpu usage on one of my 4500x switches. Below is the output

switch#show processes cpu sorted
Core 0: CPU utilization for five seconds: 37%; one minute: 32%; five minutes: 29%
Core 1: CPU utilization for five seconds: 19%; one minute: 22%; five minutes: 26%

As you can see the VSI slot-01 is using 31.07%. Does anyone has an idea since my other switches have the same config and IOS but none is experiencing this problem

I have read it but nowhere it is mentioned high cpu usage on VSI

What firmware is the switch on?
What is the uptime?
Is this in a VSS?

What firmware is the switch on?

Software (cat4500e-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 03.11.03a.E

What is the uptime?

1 year, 23 weeks, 2 days, 18 hours, 47 minutes

Is this in a VSS?

no

32% is not something I'd be worried about.

The total load of the cpu is 54%. The average cpu load on the other switches is 7%. I dont see a reason for the cpu to be that high

Below is the output from another 4500x switch with the same firmware

switch1#sh proc cpu sorted

I've got several chassis of 4500R+E with Sup7 on IOS-XE version 3.8.10 and my values are very low.

The uptime of the chassis are >32 weeks.

Hello,

are there any remnants of a previous VSS configuration in the running config ? E.g.:

switch virtual domain <domain-id>

virtual switch

stackwise-virtual

?

No.
