I have a 1751-V that has the following hardware configuration:
A Packet Voice DSP Module installed in Slot0 on the mainboard.
WIC/VIC Slot 0: 4 Port FE Switch - WIC-4ESW
WIC/VIC Slot 1: Serial 2T (12in1) - WIC-2T
WIC/VIC Slot 2: 1 Port Ethernet - WIC-1ENET
c1700-adventerprisek9-mz.124-25d.bin
The problem is that the WIC-1ENET doesn't show up in the list of interfaces as shown below. I know it works as I had it in another router (3640A). I want to use it as a management interface to leave the other five fast ethernet free for other uses.

It shows up if I do a sh ver:
Cisco 1751-V (MPC860P) processor (revision 0x300) with 114688K/16384K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FOC072808F6 (4088058244), with hardware revision 0000
MPC860P processor: part number 5, mask 2
1 Ethernet interface
5 FastEthernet interfaces
2 Serial(sync/async) interfaces
32K bytes of NVRAM.
32768K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)
Configuration register is 0x2102
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Am I missing something?
Cheers,
Matt.

Matt,
Look at the picture you've uploaded. Read what's on Slot 2. It says: This slot ONLY accepts Voice Interface Cards.
WIC-1ENET is NOT a Voice Interface Card (VIC).

You can prove me wrong by moving the WIC-1ENET into either Slot 0 or Slot 1 (power down before you move the WIC cards around).
If you see the Ethernet come up in the "sh ip interface brief" then this could be your answer. As to how to get this working in Slot 2, my long-shot guess is to try to load the lastest (or highest) IOS with "T" train first and then try using the "M" train.

"Am I missing something?" Thanks Leo. That would be the something that I am missing. I feel like a goose. I searched high and low for the answer and it was there, staring at me in the face, on the back of the router.
That then leads to the question, if it shows up in a sh ver then it has been somewhat recognised by the IOS, even though it shouldn't be there. There must be a work around for this, some way to cause the system to recognise the WIC? Your thoughts.

I tried as you suggested but the WIC-1ENET only works in slot 0 or 1, even with the latest IOS. A bit of a shame as being able to use a WIC in slot 2 would be useful.
