Cisco 2811 doesn't support telephony-service

Hi.

Just bought 3 Cisco 2811 routers and 7 IP phones 7960 from ebay and tried to follow this guide, but failed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rQakFGMZRM

The problem is that 2811 doesn't understand/accept the command "telephony-service" - any idea what could be the problem (or rather, the solution)?

Here's the show running-config and show version output:

Hi,

In order to run IP telephony on a 2811 (IE CUCME) you need to have a compatible IOS feature set.

You are running advanced security = More like Ip & firewall

For you to run CUCME you need something like c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-22.YB2.bin as this fits your 256DRAM & 64M Flash memory

To see the CUCME compatabilty IOS versions look at this link:-

Think I'm lost on the configuration. Just bought another 2811, with the right software, but can't get it to work. It's SO easy in packet tracer, create a diagram, add a 2811, a 2950 and two 7960 and run a simple guide and it works.

Am I correct in assuming that I need a special server (CUCM) in a real world setup? :(

I only need the phones to call each other, no outside connectivity is needed.
