I am trying to configure a port channel on a Cisco 2911 with switch module installed. I am trying to use the switch modules interfaces but I don't have any option for channel-group under the interface mode. The router has ipbasek9. Do I need different license in order to do port channel on the switch module?
Thanks,

Hi
what's the switching module you have in place , you can see it with show inventory
there supported in 2811 etc so should be in 29s but certain ios is required
Have you checked the on-board ports do they support it ..channel-group ?
what version of ios are you currently on

The switching module is 4 Port GE Non-POE EHWIC (EHWIC-4ESG) and the IOS is c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.155-1.T2.bin. I was able to configure the on-board port as a layer 3 port-channel, but when connecting them to the 6800 chassis, they never come up. Note that this is a voice router, I need to keep an IOS that will recognize the voice modules too.

Hi
doesn't look to be an IOS problem but a module problem , very forum I check aswell says its no supported
The main data sheet from Cisco doesn't show it as supported in its list of features either for that module ....802.3ad

Whats happening with the 6800 why is not coming up do you get an alert either side have you tried pagp and lacp and force mode on , are they in VSS mode or are you connecting standalone to one chassis

Correct. EHWIC doesn't support port-channel, only etherswitch network modules and service modules support etherchannel configuration. Also there is no etherswitch module for 2900 routers.
