Hi Team
I am using cisco 2960 switch, it's mode button is not working, and I forgot the credentials of switch. Is there any method to break password without using mode button. As I have seen many solution but all are working with mode button. Please help me..Hope for any early revert.

Hi no , I don't know any others , the ctrl break was even a longshot as its a legacy switch break but still used on routers, without the mode button your stuck as that's what a lot of the catalyst use to recover passwords sorry

The mode buttons broke how did it break just curious as there pretty stable you could RMA it if its supported , not sure if this will work on a 2960 as the mode button is whats used for recovery but you can try the ctrl break in the first 60 seconds when its loading through hyper T see if it gets you into rommon
the switch boot loader uses the break−key detection to stop the automatic boot sequence for the
password recovery purposes. The break sequence is determined by the terminal application and
operating system used. Hyperterm running on Windows 2000 uses Ctrl + Break

Thanks Mark for revert me back.
I tried with ctrl+break key. but unable to abort the boot sequence. Is there any other solution except this as I can not raise the RMA of this device because It is not covered in any service contract.
