Hi,
I'm using a cisco switch WS-C2960-8TC-L which is showing this error message several times almost every day:
%SUPQ-4-CPUHB_RECV_STARVE: Still seeing receive queue stuck after throttling.
I have lost connectivity with it several times, Is it related with this error?
The switch is attached to an identical switch by port fastethernet 0/8. It also has two other ports attached to PCs but they have been in a not connect state all this time.
The IOS software in the device is: Version 12.2(35)SE5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Hello Ivanka,
This is a well known bug in 12.2(35)SE5. Please have a look at the info below and also the link that will explain it in more detail. I would recomend looking at an upgrade path as 12.2.(35)SE5 is qutie old (2007) and we have fixed many bugs and defects since then.
Bug ID: CSCsx29696

Thanks a lot for your help. It's really useful information.
I checked that the "cpu-queue-frames" section of the output of "show controllers cpu-interface" command shows zero counts for all queues in the "hol-block" column. Is it a symptom of another problem? Would be an upgrade enough to solve all these problems?
Thx.

After upgrading to the latest ios version (15.0(2)SE5) I'm still having the same problem.
The "cpu-queue-frames" section of the output of "show controllers cpu-interface" command
shows zero counts for all queues in the "hol-block".

HI All,
I have de same problem on two 2960X stack.
The firmware that not contain the problem is Version 15.2(4)E8.
All Version after this release cause the problem for me.
We plan to buy another vendor because CISCO support is easy.
Thanks!
