We have cisco 3012's in the backplane of our IBM bladecenter H chassis and are trying to set up trunking between the 3012's and a 3750 switch. The 3012 does not allow the switchport mode encapsulation dot1q command. Is this an intended feature?

Surely because it is the only trunking encapsulation it supports.
