Hi
very annoying, but I want to recover the password or set the cisco 3750 to the default password, as forget it.
can you please help me with the steps?

You won't lose the config as long as you follow all the steps in the procedure ie. from your 2nd link make sure you follow all steps and you will be fine.

If you have modified the running configuration but not written it you will lose that portion but not what is stored in the startup configuration.

i have checked few KBs of cisco,
&
but the only worry is, will i lost my running config if doing restart?

1. boot switch and hold button to enable 'Rommon' mode
2. rename flash:config.text to anything but
3. boot switch, will come up as blank switch
4. use command 'more flash:(renamed file)'
5. use command 'copy flash:(renamed file) running-config'
6. remove any username/passwords on device
7. write to memory using 'write mem' or 'copy running-config startup-config'
8. done.
