Hi,

I have a switch stack that has 4 3750X switches and three of them have the SFP module C3KX-NM-10G. Which two ports are the 10GB ports and which two are the 1GB ports?

I have tried to figure them out, but so far no luck.

There are 4 ports,1-2-3-4, and they are labeled G1, G2/TE1, G3, G4/TE1.

I have SFP+ 10GB Fiber modules to put in, but I can't figure out which two ports are the 10GB.

I found a table, but frankly I can't read it.

is it ports 1,2 or 2,4 or 1,3?

I appreciate the help.

Hi there,

In simple term, you need to have SFP+ to have two tengig interface. you can connect two SFP+ to any port out of four physical port .

But  cant have more than two tengig at any time. If you connect SFP then port will act as 1 gig interface if you connect SFP+ then you can configure that port as 10 gig port.

C3KX-NM-10G

Two 10GbE SFP+ ports network module with four physical ports with two SFP+ and two regular SFP ports

Perfect, thank you! I had been trying to figure out if there were specific ones that would have to be used but Wasn't seeing anything.

Now I just have to update the firmware for the switch stack because apparently there are issues with 10gig ports on the IOS version I have and I have to bump them up to at least 15.2 or there abouts.

Switch Ports Model              SW Version            SW Image
------ ----- -----              ----------            ----------
*    1 54    WS-C3750X-48       12.2(58)SE2           C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
     2 54    WS-C3750X-48       12.2(58)SE2           C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
     3 54    WS-C3750X-48       12.2(58)SE2           C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
     4 54    WS-C3750X-48       12.2(58)SE2           C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M

Good luck running the stack on 15.X.
