Cisco 3850 upgrade/recovery

I'm upgrading a highly critical switch stack (5 switches) for the enterprise in a small window (preferred 1hour up to 2 if absolutely needed). Reason why I'm doing the upgrade is because of the bug where the cpu spikes to 100%.

Are there any specific recovery commands if the IOS for whatever reason gets corrupted?

I am seeing conflicting information on the internet.
What is the correct command to apply the upgrade? Do both of these work?

Switch#request platform software package install switch all file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.07.SPA.bin new auto-copy

Or this?
Switch#software install file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.07.SPA.bin switch 1-5 new force

 First of all, run "show version" and make sure the switch is in Install mode or bundle more. If in install  mode then run:

request platform software package clean switch all file flash:

request platform software package install switch all file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.07.SPA.bin new auto-copy

Cisco 3850: IOS-XE/Firmware Upgrade (Install Mode)

I need to know what is the exact model of the switch so I can determine if CSCvq53573 will show up.

Switch 4 and 5 might hit this bug.  
Look at the Workaround section.
