Cisco 4506-E - HSRP?

Hello All, 

I'm not sure if this is the correct location to be posting this, but has the HSRP functionality been removed from the latest IOS?

Hi Blake,

HSRP has not been removed from the IOS, however on the 4500 it is dependant on the type of license tht you're using. Only IP Base and Enterprise Services will support it.

Hello Blake,

It seems your switch is running LAN Base image which don't support HSRP functionality.

As stated only IP base and Enterprise image support HSRP functionality.

HSRP Support image 4500

Can you get the output of show version from your box? And We can tell you the reason for the same?

It looks like we have the evaluation license applied, and are missing the IP base license that was suppose to come along with it.  :(

speak with the resller you purchase device off they should have a record of the pak number and you will be able to retrieve that way
