Problem is switch 1's NVRAM is erased.
Before we proceed any further, can someone verify if the config-registry is correct? It should be 0x2102 (recommended) or 0x2101.

If the switches are in a VSS, it doesn't matter if the primary switch doesn't have a configuration then it's just a matter of configuring the the Virtual Domain and Switch Number and configuring the VSL Ports.

first, I configure Virtual domain and switch number and VSL ports in primary switch then i copy start-up config from switch 2 to primary switches start-up config,
next connect cables and boot switch 1, it is okay???

then i copy start-up config from switch 2 to primary switches start-up config,
Why copy the config from switch 2 to switch 1? VSS takes care of that.

if connect VSS, i think switch 1's config copied to switch 2, so i afraid switch 2's config will delete,
