Hi,
I have customer requested for a core switch which is capable of supporting 5 billion packets per second, hence we proposed Cisco Nexus 7K series switches. Later on we are forced to propose Cisco 6807 series due to budget constraints. Now the customer is looking for the packet per second calculation to justify the proposed 6807 series will not be oversubscribed.
Below is the scenario
Total No of access switches - 34 x C9300-48-P-A
Each access switch shall connect to core switch using 2 x 10 Gig uplink
Core Sw
Core switch model - 2 x C6807-XL
Sup - 1 x VS-S2T-10Gig
Line Card – 2 x C6800-32P10G
Cisco documents says that the throughput for the line card is 120 MPPS, we made below calculation
