Cisco 7204VXR - Image upgrade problem

Hi,

Is there anyway to download a image to a Cisco 7204 VXr router when you are in the ROMmon mode?

I know you can use the xmodem and tftpdnld but these commands don't seem to work on this router? We have a PCMCIA card installed but the router did not seem to recoginse the card (before i was in the ROMmon mode) in slot 0/1. Came up with "device not ready"

Can anyone help?
