Hi All
I had a Cisco 7604 router where we accidentally format a boot flash image, now we have only console access to router but when i am transferring image via xmodem file transfer it is getting failed and while reading bootflash i am getting this error
Read cis from dev 1 error (-6)device does not contain a valid magic number
Then I tried to boot the router via tftp console. i had configured IP address, gateway, subnet mask, tftp server IP and image name and connected the cable on ethernet port on router supervisor card but the port is not coming up. So can you please suggest how can I recover my router

Look at the supervisor card if there is a CF slot or not.

Hi
There are two slots for CF on supervisor card. I have inserted 512Mb CF on disk0 and 128MB on disk1. But when I am checking both the device it is giving an below mentioned error
mmon 11 > dir disk0;
bad device name (device not supported)
usage: dir <device>
rommon 12 > dir disk0:
device does not contain a valid magic number
dir: cannot open device "disk0:"

Are the CF inserted Cisco-branded or not?
Did you attempt to format the CF using the router?

Yes CF is cisco branded and when I am putting in external slot like disk0 or disk1 it is getting detected.
