Hello,
I have a Cisco 861 router and I do not appear to have any ipv6 commands available. I am using config file c860-universalk9-mz.150-1.M3.bin - from JULY 2010. When I read the release notes for the 15.0(1) M3 releases, it appears that ipv6 is a part of it.
QUESTION: Is this router capable of IPv6? If so, how do I enable it? Do I need to upgrade my software to enable it?
Thanks.

Here is an example from the 861, versus my 1721:
On 1721 router:
1721#show ip?
ip ipv6
On 861 router:
861#show ip?
ip ipam ipc iphc-profile
861(config)#ipv6 unicast-routing

Hello Jack, Craig,
It seems that the 861 does not support IPv6, not even in the 15.1M/15.1T releases. The smallest platform I found to support IPv6 was the 880 routers.
To check supported features, you can have a look at: http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp

Rose

So in other words it's just disabled in the version of IOS for this device?

Hello Craig,
Yes, it is. I was also doing some check if there is any future plans for IPv6 support but there are none
Warm Regards,
Rose
