cisco 9200 flash

[furio]

the sh flash give me the 846200832 bytes available (1011351552 bytes used)

the total files length  is 495013974 not 1011351552.

I removed an old bin file (about 500Mb) but  it looks like it hasn't been removed

the file does not appear in sh flash command.

Suggestions ?

We could be looking at a bug where the flash space does not marry up. 

17.3.5 was released yesterday.  Upgrade to that and see if there are any improvements.

Oh look here!  `tis my friend, "EHSA standby down". 

This crash is most likely caused by a generic crashinfo/error/core message called "EHSA standby down".  It is generic because if the crash is unknown, the switch uses "EHSA standby down" as an excuse.  

Catalyst 3850 and Catalyst 9300 suffers this bug since 16.12.4 (and later), but 9200 has this bug in 17.X.X.

Hello  furio, 

Please, compare the amount space in the flash of the Active|Standby and other Members of the stack. If they seem to have about the same contents and same  space available, but only switch 6 is facing this issue,  you can try to format the flash and|or fsck flash.(switch 6)  If this does not help the device could be facing a hardware issue and should be replaced.

Alright, not talking about "EHSA standby down", the way to solve this problem about "not enough flash space in switch 6", I have three options.  Options two and three is very "dirty" (aka NSFW).  

Option 1:  Cold reboot (pull the power cable from the switch)

If Option 1, did not improve things, move to the next. 

Option 2:  Remove all the stacking cables from switch 6 and force the switch 6 to boot into Bundle Mode; 

If switch 6 still refuses to boot into Bundle Mode look at Option 3

Option 3:  Still without any stacking cables attached, force the switch to boot into ROMMON and initiate Emergency Install.  

(Remember, switch 6 is part of a stack.  It does not matter if the switch is completely wiped of any config.  Once switch 6 joins the stack it will download the complete config from the master.)
