Cisco Aironet 1242AG admin username/password reset question

Hello,

Our company inherited two Cisco Aironet 1242AG access points to which we were not given the level_15_access (admin) username and password. Is it possible to reset the admin username and password without performing a factory reset (and deleting the current config on the AP)?

Hi,

I don't think this is possible. You have to do a factory reset via holding down the mode switch as you power the AP.
